Poso Lake is located in Tentena, Pamona sub district, Poso district, Sulawesi Tengah (Central Sulawesi) Province, Sulawesi Island, one of big island in Indonesia. The range of Lake Poso is about 32,324 acre, the depth is reach attain 510 meter. The water is clear following away its depth. Lake Poso is the third number of the biggest lake in Indonesia.
Tentena position is on the branch road of Trans-Sulawesi, the weather is cool, and Tentena is above 657 meter of sea surface, so it’s suitable to traveler.
Formerly, Lake Poso is a spirit of Central Sulawesi. Before disturbance intercommunity among citizen broke, around Lake Poso was held a culture festival. A citizen with different background are united, dance which known as Dero dancing, with Sogili meal as accompanist (Sogili is a big eel which endemic animal in Poso Lake). Nowadays, Lake Poso Festival does no longer exist; the custom house is empty and not is well taken care. It’s just glorious records that have been fallen down.
Nowadays, at a morning sunrise, fisherman boat and children who’s swimming in the lake become a usual image. At sunset twilight come, group of cow wagon carry a water while house well dry. At the moonlight come true, on the central of lake, you’ll see a light as spearman fish accompanist. All of that make as a sign from Lake Poso, which waiting for spirit enthusiasm comeback, and make loud around Lake Poso, and make citizen united again.
